It All Began After Death by Kevin Lee

Before the land existed, only sky and water were present. Fish and birds were the only living creatures on earth. Fish, creatures that cannot live outside the water, didn’t bother coming out of the water to see what is above their water. Birds were too afraid to go down the water to see if anything was there. Fish and birds, therefore, never saw each other, and didn’t bother searching for anything new. Birds hunted each other for survival, and fish ate each other to live.

After a long time, a fish poked its head out of the water, and for the first time, it saw a bird. However, a bird also happened to spot the sea-dwelling creature. The bird saw the fish as a dying bird, and the fish saw the bird as an enemy. The bird flew back to its chief and reported the situation. Meanwhile, the fish swam back to his tribe and gathered as many fishes as it could to fight the unknown creatures. The birds gathered where the fish poked its head out, and searched for the injured bird that is actually a fish. It all happened in a flash. The fishes leaped out of the water, and bit the birds. The birds, surprised, initiated its attack on the fishes as well. The two races fought for day after days, but the victor still hasn’t been decided.

When the great battle was over, all of the birds and fishes were dead. Long time has passed, and the corpses of the dead birds and fishes formed into land, and new creatures were born from the decayed animal’s corpses. New life began on land.
